Going Italian in Crested Butte!

Whether you desire a great glass of wine
or a great Italian meal, Bacchanale is your
place to go in Crested Butte.

It's been satisfying Italian cravings since 1972.  So, it
only seemed fitting for our friends, Brian and Leslie,
to host their daughter's birthday dinner there for
23 of her favorite people!

Be sure to come hungry  because there are so many
great choices on what to eat at Bacchanale!
We couldn't resist the Italian fried zucchini
or the Parmesan Artichoke Dip served with
crispy bowtie pasta.  But, we mainly couldn't
resist the mozzarella that is fried
in a phyllo dough instead of breaded like you see
most of the time.  It's not described like it's prepared
differently from the way you usually see it prepared, but it is
like nothing you've ever had!  Are you wondering
just where these mozzarella sticks are in this photo??
Well, they got devoured before I could whip
out my camera!  Just trust me on this one!
They are great!  Get 'em when you go!

And they have garlic cheese bread just the way we all love it...crunchy on the outside, and soft
on the inside!

The Caprese Salad is loaded with fresh
roma tomatoes, basil, mozzarella and the balsamic
vinaigrette on it is oh-so good!

My daughter loved the Fettucini Alfredo A La
Bacchanale served with chicken and a roasted
garlic cream sauce, pine nuts and green
chiles!  Oh my it's killing me just thinking
about it I want it so bad!

They serve this sauce called Fra Diavolo.  It is a mouth-watering
robust red sauce made with spices, garlic, olive oil and
jalapeno.  It's the perfect blend of spice.  They then house
that sauce on any of their chicken, scallops, shrimp or eggplant
and top it off with linguini and mozzarella cheese!
It is a force to be reckoned with!  (the plate to the
left use to house a mozarella cheese stick!  I'm telling you
they are some kind of good!)

My camera-shy daughters and their friend,
Bryson, gave Bacchanale two thumbs up!

I got the Vegetable Cannelloni which is two
crepes filled with fresh mushrooms, spinach, carrots,
zucchini, pine nuts, parmesan and ricotta cheeses topped
with mozzarella plus a side of spaghetti with that
delicious Fra Diavolo sauce on it!  If we only had
"scratch-and-smell" computers so you could get
a whiff of that scrumptious plate!

My friend got the delicious Chicken Piccata and
loved every bite!

My husband got the Traditional Cannelloni that had
two crepes filled with Italian sausage, ground beef, spinach,
fresh mushrooms, ricotta and parmesan cheese that is
covered in bolognese sauce and mozzarella.

We will be talking about this fun night at Bacchanale for
a long time to come!

WISHING YOU MANY MEMORABLE NIGHTS!

TRAVEL M GIRL
